Just found one of these knocking about in my room, my dads friend gave me one when I started playing as he gave up at the same time... Took 6 years to realise its true worth as a guitarists dream! (Yes, it also took 6 years to find it in my room) Also, love your style of playing!

I think every guitar player need to use this Screamer.Me also use every time Ibanez Tube Screamer if i play blues, rock, metal really good combination is use screamer with good delay. If you need a good tone this is combination your amp+screamer+good delay for sustain this is the best i think. Thanks for the history, interesting for me to read.Videos is really good i see skilled guitar player who played with nice sound and know how work`s with equipment.Best wishes from Raymond.

There is a number of pedals I could not put in the posts without it becoming too long. You are right, this is a great pedal and will be found on the Electro Harmonix website. For those of you who are wondering, SMMwH is "Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai".

we usually try to do this. if one is playing the rhythm then the other one will play something higher. like say if he is playing a C then usually i may play a C wayyyy on up the fret board on the d string on the 10th fret. either that or one will play bar chords and the other will play open. but it still sounds way to similar that way.

On my Fender champ, I have to run the tone quite low on my Tube Screamer or BD-2, it happens with bright amps.

I agree that both having the same amp can be the source of the problem. Sometimes even having the same type of guitars can be a problem (gibson + gibson or fender + fender). One thing that works in that case is to play really different stuff.

i have come across this problem and i use the two over drive pedal method. my first and main overdrive pedal is an ibanez tube screamer. and when its solo time i step on my boss blues driver. on the blues driver i don't turn the gain up very high at all. maybe about 8 or 9 o'clock. so that i don't make it sound way to heavy. and i turn the tone almost all the way down. but the level is bumped up to about 2 o'clock. so it is really boosting my volume level. also keeping the tone down warms it up a little bit and its not so ear piercing. but maybe thats just me

i have a problem like this at the church that i play. mostly with the other guitarist and i. whenever i try to change my tone to make it sound different so that we don't get lost together. he ends up changing it to sound more like mine. it gets frustrating. and i have tried a lot of these ideas. like rolling back the gain. that actually helped a lot. and i really don't try to use much effects. i do use delay on a lot of songs but mostly its turned down kind of low and you can barely tell its there. i like to think it just fills in a little bit. right now i think our main problem is we both have a vox ac 30. so my next goal is as soon as i can sell mine picking up a fender. but i am still searching. trying to see if i can find something really different. something that just stands out. without a whole lot of volume. any who this was pretty helpful. kinda solidified some stuff our sound tech and i were discussing

Boss Super OverDrive is one of my favorite guitar pedals. I also like Boss BluesDriver, Fuzz and DS-1 pedals - but this one is something special for me. I just remember the days when I tried it for the first time and it had an old classic rock sound which was very similar to the Angus Youngs guitar tones in first Ac/Dc albums. So, I was playing their songs the whole day long - I was a happy guitar newbie!

The Fender Bass VI is actually a 30" short-scale six-string bass NOT at all a baritone guitar. It is tuned one octave below that of a standard guitar tuning (EADGBE.) Typical string gauges run from .095 to .025. Baritone guitars - on the other hand - are usually tuned a perfect fifth lower (A D G C E A), a perfect fourth lower (B E A D F♯ B), or a major third lower (C F B♭ E♭ G C). And they use lighter gauge strings than this. They also are 28" or so scale.
